Cupping

Cupping:

Cupping Therapy is an ancient form of alternative medicine, it is different from most other manual therapies as there is no downward pressure. The suction from the cups assists in releasing deep congested muscle fibers and increases the blood and energy flow to encourage the body’s natural healing process.

Cups are placed on your body and can be left there for several minutes and/or glided over a larger area. Tamworth Remedial Massage Centre therapists work with either the traditional glass, plastic or the silicone cups (if you have a preference please tell us at time of booking) and these can be used in conjunction with Remedial Massage.

Clients seek cupping for a range of purposes, including musculoskeletal pain and discomfort, tightness, inflammation, headaches and migraines.

Cupping may leave marks that look like bruises, this is normal and the marks should disappear within a couple of days but can last for up to 10 days. These marks should not be tender or cause any discomfort.
